ALWAYS LEARN ABOUT DISABILITY + NEVER JUDGE DISABILITY.

Supporting one another on Always Learn About Disability + Never Judge Disability.
Learning Disability and Mental Health Awareness and Advocacy for ‘ Always Learn About Disability + Never Judge disability. My Career. I am a Visiting Lecture Learning Disability and Mental Health Awareness trainer for The University Of Wolverhampton training

My Career.

I am a Visiting Lecture Learning Disability and Mental Health Awareness trainer for The University Of Wolverhampton training and educating the Student Learning Disability nurses plus I am also an English student at the Adult Learning college Wolverhampton. I have disabilities and health problems myself so does my ex-partner Tim Hodge who has now stepped down as a member now. This is through 1st hand experiences from having disabilities and health problems ourselves.
Aims of Learning Disability and Mental Health awareness and All Advocacy.

'Learn About The Disability + Never Judge Disability' is a Learning Disability and Advocacy group all in one. For learning disability and mental health awareness it raises awareness of people with disabilities and health problems access all areas of life such as health, housing, careers, talent, social issues, Disabled Access, Disabled aids, Advocacy and etc.  People with disabilities and health problems raise awareness to people without disabilities and health problems who work in the field of disabilities and health problems. The idea is for people to learn about how people disabilities and health problems access all topics of life and how to making learning easy for people with disabilities and health problems from people with disabilities and health problems.
People who work in the field of learning disabilities and health problems could work in different services such as schools, Employment services, Health services, Education services and etc. You could be a professions, family member, parents or just parent; teacher, tutor, trainer, doctor, nurse and etc. Whether you have very little or a lot of experience with the field of disabilities and health problems this group is open to you if you want to join us.

What is Advocacy?

Public Advocacy is about empowering and support people with disabilities and health problems to speak up for their right.
You are more than welcome to Disabled Advocacy group.
You can make your own choices, control and ideas as long as you share with the group and respect the group's wishes, which could come into Person Centered Planning.

You are welcome to set up your own projects as a group.
The Disabled Advocacy group is chance to us your voice and have your own say like the aware group I have just set up.
Private Advocacy is more legal and Illegal Advocacy that links around such topics as hate crime, benefits, benefit cut, fit for work, not fit for work and etc.

I understand that the government can make us angrily. You are more than welcome to debate but please draw the line. Bearing in mind I have disabilities and health problems as well one of mine is Anxiety.

Now those of us who suffer from Anxiety can get up tight easy. If you feel tense come off this group until you feel ready to face the group again.

A word of advice if you feel like that come off for the Disabled Advocacy group for a bit then come on whenever you feel clam enough again to come back on.

The idea of this topic is the about the positives and negative people with disabilities and health problems face in life.
This is a chance for people with disabilities and health problems to raise awareness to though with without, which could be to professions, services, carers, families and etc.

You will be allowed to send posts, write post, videos and reports on anything to do with learning disability and mental health awareness.
This could mean things Communication, Accessible Information, Person Centered Planning, Valuing People Now and etc.

The purpose of the group.

This group is set for those who face disabilities, health problems, mental health, disorders, long-term conditions or and etc facing all emotional issues, please feel free to ask you to PM, everything you say is private but if we have any concerns about your health or and safety will speak to another Admin our Admin team and if who replies to your message not trained or and qualified to help with what you're asking then we will find someone on the team or elsewhere who or where is.

Free to ask to pm us, the reason why we may ask is that some Admins may not want to pm people they don't so please respect. However' if you have spoken to one of us or few on pm and that's anyone, in particular, you want to speak to again and the Admin fine about it, that's no problem. It doesn't mean you have to be feeling down, feel free to do so if you want to or need to if the Admin is okay with it, not they will try to find an Admin who will but search for further help if not. From my own experience, most of us feel down with or without a reason, just with a reason or just without one.

Please also respect that some Admins may be a bit wavy if they don't know people but they will ask others on the team or if no one knows we will search for further help, which could mean contacting Admins on groups not much different to ours. Also, here another list issues we deal with, which could post or and get support with if you need to.

Just to let you know so there's no misunderstanding of this private issues won't be posted on the group and please report it to us if you have told someone on you have pmed who you thought you could and if they have put it on the group.

Feel free to post these topics on the purpose and ask Admins to talk or and support but some Admins may not want to or may not be trained. However' they will Admins on the team who may be about to if not if they don't know you but they will search for further help even it means us contacting other Admin from other groups the same or and not much different to us.
Names of people of the Admin team and Topics of the group examples of what you can post, talk about on the group to members and Admin or and what you may pm an Admin about is on the Descriptions on the right - hand side plus website links too, thank you.

Safeguarding socializing.

We have set this group up for people with disabilities to socialize to your our own choice as long as you respect the feelings of others. Communicate, make friendships, relationships to your choice as long as others feel the same. Also feel free to chat to members of the group if you wish. However' we are a team of Admins with different skills what 1 of us can't-do the other can and if none of us can we will search for further help. If you ask us to we will find your information or and websites online such as friendship or and dating sites, counseling. disability issues, mental health issues or and etc. We are not what you call a dating site we don't match make people together the choices are between you or whoever but please at accept one another's feelings if 1 doesn't feel the same as the other. Please do not force someone to feel the same as you may feel about them but if you wish to ask us for websites on friendship, dating or and etc please feel free to do so. Also, you can ask us for websites, information and etc online on counseling if you wish, whether you have faced disappointing on and off the group or even both. If you wish to talk about your issues with us, by all means, please do pm us if you wish to. We respect what's private to you but please request if an Admin is not sure about anything they will speak to another Admin and if no one can help in the team we will look for counseling services if you wish within your area. Nothing will be said outside pm, only if there's something we don't know which will be said to only the Admin team or if we feel concerned about your safety for whatever reason and that will only be said to the Admin team too.

Also, please respect Admins and also we feel it's only fair that we request you.
Although what you do with your lives is none of our business we do care about your safety and your feelings about others but we also accept that's your choice as long the choice is down to the members who you socialize with too meaning things you do and don't do.
Sorry to confuse you but although we don't accept sexual post socially on the group, we do accept sexually awareness as far as health and safety concerned meaning if you wish you could ask on the group if there's an Admin who is willing pm you. We would advise you not to say on the group what it's about.
feel free to ask us to look on online for conception, pregnancy and or sexual health advice please, before you do ask the admin if he or she is okay to do that, if not they will find someone else on the team, if for any reason no one can or doesn't want to, we will search for further help such as contacting other Admins on groups not much different to ours.

Sorry to sound harsh but as we know not everyone knows everyone on Facebook. Although, this is a Socializing group the choice down to whether you talk to the members or not. The choice down to you to decide whether you want to just talk the group, pm or what as long you respect how others feel and what they say. For example, if someone doesn't want you to pm them don't pm them. Same with Admins too, if an Admin doesn't want you to be pmed don't pm, ask them to find out if there's anyone on the team who will you. The Admin is not been rude or nasty, it will either be because they don't know you or and they don't know anything about what you're asking for but they will work hard to find who or and where will. Do remember won't necessarily get the same reply off everyone. However' if either, one or some of us have pmed you a lot in the past and you know you happy to speak to whoever and whoever is happy to speak to you then that's acceptable.
This group is up for people with disabilities to socialize to your our own choice as long as you respect the feelings of others. Communicate, make friendships, relationships to your choice as long as others feel the same. Also feel free to chat to members of the group if you wish. However' we are a team of Admins with different skills what 1 of us can't-do the other and if none of us can we will search for further help. If you ask us to we will find your information or and websites online such as friendship or and dating sites, counseling. disability issues, mental health issues or and etc. More information about the group and safety rules, the name of Admins and our website is in the description on the right-hand side.

Dyspraxia and other problems linked that I have faced.

My disability did affect me a lot as a child. I have come a long way, I still have a long way to go. I have always been slow with education and everyday skills. It was when I left school I started to learn how to be independent. Having been bullied at school, I had changed schools a lot but I was still bullied a lot. I’m now very happy to say that I haven’t been bullied during my college days so far. If anything I have learned more and more easily since I have left school than when I was there.
My Auntie’s son Luke taught me how to tie my shoe laces when I was twenty years old, he was only ten. I felt such a fool. It was as if I was a child that was staying a child. Now I have achieved more skills since then I am slowly starting to feel like an adult. I am very grateful to Luke, still better late than never. I used to feel ashamed; this kind of problems encouraged bullying in school. They never understood why I found things harder than most children, well it felt that way to me at the time. Maybe they were the ones with the problems not just me, other wise why did we go to special schools?

My disability has always affected my road sense. I have improved to what I used to be but I still get nervous on busy main roads. I have never been able to ride a bike or drive a car and that will never happen. I can travel through on airplanes, coaches, buses, trains, trams, cars and etc. My disability affects my reflexes, I can’t carry two cups with hot drinks in at once. I can only carry one cup at a time. I have to use my right hand because of my left-hand shakes more than my right. I can’t grip very well with my left hand, it shakes and slips. Now I would say only for about a year or two, my family have discovered that I could be dyspraxia, which to do with hands and even balance. For eg banging into things and people, like I have said with grip, shakes of the hands and cor-anation where you only do one thing at a time, whether it's with your mind or your body. I can be very clumsily at times. I haven't got round to being diagnosed yet. I've had this problem all my life, no one knew until about a year ago that I could have dyspraxia.
It shows how much awareness there was twenty - thirty years ago, which is now. Still better late than never but like I say I need to be diagnosed yet. At the end of the day education is slower than I am, why does it take years to find things out? Still, we can find everything out at once, that's too much to ask. If you or someone you know are the same as me in any way, please drop me an email on sarajgorman@gmail.com I will be very interested to hear your story about your disability on how you cope with it, whoever you are and whatever age you are.

I have never been very good with directions but I am better than I used to be.I will always have the disability I have always had but I make progress each day, which makes me better than I used to be. I used to get angry and upset when not able to do things. Now I can accept the things I can’t do because there have been so many skills I have learned in the last ten years and maybe slightly more. I accept that there’s no way I would be able to have children and drive a car. I think today’s society has made me accept that. It’s unsafe world to bring children up and also there is too much traffic on the roads today. At the end of the day, there are still quite a lot of skills that I could have a chance to achieve in the long term future. What skills, who knows!
I didn't cope most children, I felt as if they were having a better time than I was. I don’t think now that was the case. I may have egged them on to bully me without realizing what I had done was wrong. I could not communicate with anyone, not even myself, they didn't understand me either. I didn't cope with playing games or reading books. Now I understand things better than I used to. I think I still find games hard to understand though.
I can just about cope with my own flat, I have all kinds of friends, I travel independently and I do my own shopping. I am attending college, doing English, creative writing and a computer course. I like drawing and painting. I am hoping to get some training for work so hopefully with the right help me I could become a writer. I am a lot happier and less frustrated compared to how I used to feel.

Negative issues you may face from anyone, the person will be removed and blocked off our the groups will be removed and blocked off our groups for sure and even reported to Facebook if you and we think it and even reported to Facebook if you and we think it is necessary. However' if you face negative issues with someone you know who used to be a member of our groups outside our groups, please feel free to report it and an admin on our team who knows how to report to Facebook will do that for you. bear in mind all of us have different skills on our team so if you happen to speak someone who doesn't know to report to Facebook they will make our team aware and someone who knows how to report to Facebook will.

safety tips and advice for friendship and or dating.

1. We are not responsible for matching you with others or making plans to meet anyone, that decision and choice is between you and them, even though you can report the person to us if you don't feel the same as them and they try to force you to feel the same as they do about you.
2. It's down to both of you to know whether not you both feel the same, decide whether it's friendship or relationship.
3. If you communicate with new people one way or the other, whether it's a lot of people to make friends, even a few people to make friends, one person to make friends or even a partner, we would advise you to go with a least one person you know very well until you get to know but it doesn't always promise to be right but we are there for you. We don't want to put you in risk but we don't want to tell you what to tell what to do and not to do either.
 4. I would advise from my own experience that you ask someone if they would like you to pm them but respect their wishes if they say no, whether you like them as a friend or more.
5. Do not chase the person to go out with you if you feel more than just friendship, talk to them on pm if they are okay with you PMing them in a friendly way and to know them, don't let them know how you feel unless they should interest towards if  you find you are mistaken accept friendship from them like we said you can ask us for dating or and friendship sites off the internet if you wish.
6. Just to let you know as well if you ask us to we can't find places for you to go together even stay online but you will have face to face support if it comes to you will have to sign up to something, we are not trained to be held responsible if anything happens to your information or and money on the internet.
7. If you meet a partner on our socializing groups you're both more than welcome to stay on the groups and make friends with the members, everyone the group must respect that you are a couple.
8. By all means, however, you communicate put on pictures if you have met up with a member or members of the groups as long as they are clean and respectable.
9. Like we said, if you meet someone more than just friends we can't promise it will turn out how you hope, which means if they don't please feel free to report any negatives you may face to us and we will do what we can to sort it out for you providing you give us the person's name and proof of what he or has done.
10. Some people may think we are a bit mad but please report if you have proof of someone cheating on cause from my experience one problem can lead to another then we will be able to get he or she off the group before others face the same problem, even though we can't promise it won't happen but not on groups, we could report to Facebook but we have found they have not dealt with a lot of cases.
However' if we have removed and blocked someone in the past and members of our groups are still facing problems with that person outside the group, we will see what we can do about it. If show us proof of anything bad you have faced with a member our groups like a video or something, we won't show the proof on the group without you giving us permission like you may want the members to see the proof so hopefully, they won't face the same with that person as you have. However' we would also understand why you may not want us to show as well.
11. We also advise no matter how you feel about someone but know feelings doesn't make it easy, least from my experience anyway, first signs of abuse, cheating and etc end the relationship, we will see that person is taken from the group if you make us aware.
12. Also from my experience, not all relationships end on a bad note some end cause say for example you may see it's not going to go anywhere cause you may live too far from one another but then there are some people who don't find it affects them so you might end up been friends or back to friends on the group. That doesn't mean you should get together for that to happen, in fact, no one knows that may happen to start with.
13. Not saying, anyone, is going to pm anyone but as we have made you aware what you say to one another is not out business but feel free to report anything negative to us like bullying, abuse or and etc.
14. Just to let you know as we already said that please feel free to ask for information or websites on counseling and that if you want or and need to.
15. Just because we have given this safe guarding and that it doesn't mean we are trying to make you make friends or and date, it's here for your safety and here in case your choice to communicate with one another. Also if you just chose to talk about the group that's more than fine with us as long as you remember it's not completely private it's, all our groups are closed group meaning everyone in the group can see what you write and post but people who are not on our groups anyway can't see what you write and post.
16. Up to you but we advise don't go to their home and don't invite them to yours until you have got to know them.
17. How long it takes to get to know someone is down to you and that person between you but our advice is to give it as long as possible.
18. Long distance friendships and relationships can be tricky but we advise that stick to chat online if seeing another is hard to access.
19. Sometimes in life need to be cruel to kind but we need to think how strong and serious things are, meaning if you feel that strongly towards one another it may be necessary to take things further even if you live a long distance away from one another but in all honesty you won't really know that until you have spent a lot of time together.
20. Do not give personal details on the group such as names, address and or etc as there are risks that people you haven't asked or and you don't want them to contact may if they see your contacts on the groups. We advise even on pm that you don't give the person your contact details or meet them till if you have been PMing one another 6 to 12 months say without any dangerous problems to one another such abuse, bullying or and etc, even when you see one another for the first time to see someone you know very well goes with you for at least six to 12 times of seeing 1 another, if it lasts that long.
21. we would advise to start off with for an about 6 meeting, meet up once a month, then if it works once a week for 6 months then decide what to do from there if that works.
