We all have different minds. Poems of 2020 into 2021 for new.

 Different minds.

We all think different

We all have different minds.

It would be a boring world if we were all the same.

Some of us think how we think on purpose and others don't.

Hard to think who does what and when.

I asked myself why I think as I do but got no answers to my mind.

Let's not judge one another because we don't know one another's minds either.

Rightly or wrongly, agree or disagree let's follow the rules because the longer the government and scientists will keep this lockdown going.

This is impossible to accept because everyone's' mind is so different.

It's so hard to see an end to the lockdown but never say never.

What a load of rubbish.

I don't write to be famous.

I don't chase dreams.

I just write because I want to.

I don't write to be right all the time because it's impossible to be right all the time.

I am just human like everyone, I get things wrong.

I am no one special, I just write and mostly a load of rubbish.

Be no one but one's self, never be someone your not.

Keep on writing even if it's a load of rubbish, you never know what comes to light and mind.

I ask my mind why I think as I do, I get no answers or I go blank to a point I have no ideas to write about at all, just rubbish.

I don't write for talent.

I write what I am thinking about, not for talent.

My mind is just full of words not poems.

Yesterday has gone so it doesn't matter.

Today is here, it's today what matters.

Tomorrow we deal with when it comes.

Something needs to be done.

We can't keep on being locked up in prison as if we have done a crime not everyone has done wrong but those who haven't have to suffer for those who have.

We know we are locked down to protect ourselves from the Coranvirus but we are risking our mental health as well.

Mental health risks are increasing as much as Coranvirus risk is so we need to draw a line.

It's now been almost a year since we were aware of the lockdown and Coronavirus.

The rules are confusing to most people and not everyone understands them, they change too quickly.

Mainly to those of us who are vulnerable.

Just only keep important places open so people can shop to feed themselves, medication, toiletries, etc.

People just want to end their pain but not their lives but many are likely to be pushed to the longer this lockdown goes on.

This could mean an increase in suicides and as well as Coranvirus deaths.

This could cause more work for counsellors than ever before, which is a job that's doing from home either.

Easy to forget.

So much over talking the mind like Xmas, new year and the Coranvirus lockdown to a point one cannot think at all.

Yes, these matters are very important but let's not forget about the snow and sunset.

Now white Christmas has come late but the white new year has early.

New year's eve afternoon to evening is lighter longer.

This chimney smoking bright fire as the new year comes in.

The first of January new year's day 2021 comes to light.

Bring on the bright lights of the night as fireworks come into the dark of the night.

Spring is on its way for lighter days.

Journal poems.

How many poems I write I am not aware of.

As far as I am aware they are just words.

No awareness of spelling, grammar etc.

It's just a journal of words.

I write because my mind is thinking a lot to a point I go blank.

Dear Mind

Introduction

My name is Sara Jane Gorman, I am an Awareness trainer of learning disability and mental health, this issue I would not wish it on anyone, sadly rape and abuse can happen to anyone, and no one should have to face it but sadly it has always happened and still does.

It is all in your mind they said but no was not because it has never been forgotten. Life goes on and the only way life goes on realizing I am not alone, which I used to think I was alone, and I thought I was imaging things, I thought I was going mad then over the years I found out many others faced the same as me in different times and ways. I would think of others anyway but raising awareness and realizing I am not alone is my way of getting on with my life and trying to help others going through if not the same but similar.

This a story of a childhood experience I do not know how to put it into words to make sense to others, I never have been able to.

For over 40 years now what I am writing about today is bad memories not words and that is because of having disabilities, special needs, mental health, etc.

What happened is hard to forget no matter how hard I try not remembering but even now I struggle to put it into words. However,’ I am trying to put it in the best possible way I can for not just for my sake but for others of all generations and ages, who have faced rape and abuse. Sadly, rape and abuse still happen, even though it is dealt with a different way than it was more than 40 years ago and more where people had bad memories but worse no voices now, we have if we wish to say.

However,’ even so not everyone finds it easy to say mainly if you have disabilities, mental health or and other problems, children, teenagers, the elderly, etc. How can you help these people to have a voice if they wish to, your support matters? No one can force people to talk but there are ways people can if they wish to. https://helplines.org/helplines/supportline-2/

Just to say sorry about the story is not being very written as I am Dyslexia. Just to say the way it happened in the story to the character did not happen to me in the same way, but I did face rape and abuse within the school but not on a school trip.

  Dear Mind

It was all in her mind, but it is not; she must have had a nightmare the time when Cherry Rose Pike was attacked on a school trip to London.

January to February 1982 with Woodfield Special Boarding school. The truth is that she was not believed.

Cherry had lost sight of children and staff as they were crossing the traffic lights and Cherry had lost her whereabouts.

What Cherry then saw the gate open into Saint James’s park round about 4.00pm on a dark Friday evening.

Suddenly an old guy named Jack brown grabbed her and pushes her into the nearest hedge as Cherry screams blue murder as he forces himself on her. She had no idea what was happening to her, she thought he was going to kill her.

She never saw what he looked like, other than long grey hair and bred.

“Get off me, leave me alone!” as Cherry screamed

It was so sudden, dark, and quick, it was hard for her to notice much as the Park keeper came as quick as he could, then grabbed Jack by the scruff of his neck.

Jack ran off, then Ralph the keeper took Cherry to the Police station.

Ralph found it hard to know what to say, other than.

“Where are you from and how are you here?”

“My name is Cherry Rose Pike, from Wolverhampton, I am on a Special Boarding school trip and I lost sight of everyone.”

“Oh, dear they are all worried about you and your parents but let’s get to the police station they will help you to get home.”

Cherry was shaking and too much in shock to speak.

Ralph struggled to cope with the situation as he told the police behind the desk what happened and left.

Cherry was 12 years of age, raped by Jack Brown at Saint James’ Park London 4.05 pm, Friday 31st January 1982.

She was pumped in the stomach and had two black eyes.

Cherry was special needs; went to special schools and she was in a child’s home and also raised by her Mother’s family.

As a result of the rape, she was pregnant, but baby Nike Pike was adopted for a year as Cherry a year after the birth of the baby came into contact with her father, the baby’s Grandfather Fred who supported her.

On the night of the rape, it took a while for the school to realize there was a child missing as they called the police and cherry family on the way back to Wolverhampton. Cherry was then picked up by her family at the Police station in London. By Sara Jane Gorman

Awareness of learning disability, mental health and other issuses.

Awareness has always been important in all issues but in but since March 2020 as everyone knows the world has been facing the coronavirus lockdown, which as much as lives changing one way another for everyone social distance are health and safety health and safety reason but affects and changes our lives to how we used to live our lives.

When it comes to learning disability and mental health people who face disability, mental health and other problems need more support than other people but the health and safety of those who support these people matter as well as the people who need the support. I am writing this report to say I am not saying there is no awareness and no support but more needs to be done. All this can vary some people are getting awareness support, others are not and others are not.

I feel there needs to be more awareness on the tv as well as the internet. As way back as far in my childhood, I can remember I have been a fan of Coronation Street, say from the age of 5 and I am now 51. My family members have watched it on and off throughout their lives as well since it started in 1960.

This December, it's Coronation street's 60th birthday, which I have been watching on youtube before, during, and guess I will go on watching after Xmas. The point of this report is I have noticed over the years that Coronation street has done many awareness scenes such as Sarah Lou's teenage pregnancy, mental health emotional stress scene after Calum had put Sarah through mental-emotional stress. Tina O, Brain has done an amazing job of acting in these scenes, Jack Shepard as David Platt has done a great job of acting in Epilepsy and a rape scene, Sally and her breast cancer awareness which was also amazing work, etc.  These awareness scenes are aimed at letting people know that these situations can happen to anyone at any time, which makes me think awareness of these issues needs to keep getting raised in different ways, whether it's in talks, power points, role plays, tv, etc.

Creating accessible power points.

The purpose of power points is mostly about doing a talk about all topics whether it's about you, another person, items, businesses, subjects, animals, teaching,  studies, work, etc in front of people who are interested in the same if not similar interest to you.

There is no right or wrong way of doing a PowerPoint, there are many power points on youtube, etc from the point of view of others but not in everyone is everyone's' pupils, students, teachers, etc.

The most important thing is to know what you want to or going to do your work on whether it's for you, someone, or somewhere.

Plan your PowerPoint before you create it.

The art of PowerPoint is making it accessible for others, which is hard to do because everyone is different sees things differently.

It's understandable no has time and no one wants to sit and watch a PowerPoint all day no matter how someone creates it so it's best to make it as short and sweet as possible.

It's very likely you are not going to please everyone with your work because what stands out for some people doesn't for others.

For that reason, it may be best to make sure your sound in talking, etc is as clear as possible so people can catch as much of the PowerPoint as possible.

Mainly you do powerpoints a lot maybe create a website for handouts in case you don't time to cover everything or and in case people take everything mainly if you any reason you may not create anything like or similar to it again.

Having a website may save you time and money on printing, paper, etc, that way you could put your website address on your power or and send it to the people who are seeing the PowerPoint by email.

Try to talk as loud as you can but do not shout.

Create videos if can etc.

Get to know your zoom you can fit as much of your work as you possibly can onto your slide.

Go to Design, slide size, custom slide size to discover width and height.

Not forgetting, clear writing, pictures, icons, shapes, colors, etc; eg 20 to 36 title, 20 to 32 subheadings, normal writing 20 to 28 as far the writing will go to make it clear as possible, bullet points, 123, ABC, smart art, etc.

Creating a Learning Disability and Mental Health Training Business plan.

My name is Sara Jane Gorman, I face disabilities, mental health, and other problems, which is Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, mild Autism, Epilepsy, Anxiety, and Depression.

I am Keen to set up a small Learning Disability and Mental Health training Awareness business from the first-hand experience.

My idea is to raise awareness among those who are working or and studying in the field of disability, mental health, and other problems. To find support for, to empower people with disabilities, mental health, and other problems.

Also, to educate and train services, businesses, etc around learning disability and mental health, which includes these issues such as health, housing, careers, talent, hobbies, interests, socializing, public Advocacy, private Advocacy, easy read, coronavirus lockdown, etc.
