Causes of Epliespy

Well without having to think about the cause of my Epliespy was lack of oxygen to the brain at birth but I cannot speak for anyone else's. However' I can bring up possible causes of traumatic brain injury,  serious illnesses. fever, stroke, stress, a huge amount of alcohol and or drugs.

Sadly no one can avoid stress no matter what we try, whether we face Epliespy or other problems or not. There isn't a lot of difference to any of us only how we cope with them and how it affects us. Such as bills, filling forms, and even doing things to a time limit, etc people Epliespy or and other problems may struggle to come along and find them harder to cope with alone than people who don't face them. This is just an example of anything something someone has to do that could be very important to do. Other types of stresses could be a job, business losses, relationship break up, etc, which we can all face but seem like big bigger deals to those of us who face disabilities, mental health other problems.

Stress awareness.

Due to the fact I face Anxiety and okay I haven't faced a seizure since I was 43 and I am 51 not but if I get really stressed there's a fair chance I faced a seizure or seizures again. Sorry to sound negative there, although I don't others who face the face I know I am not alone.  This is not to seek attention but to raise awareness of those who face it. On this website, I am going to find a link I wrote about a year or two on a member of an old pop group back in the 70s and 80s. Sadly the least singer died very young, not sure whether it was down to his Epilepsy and Depression or something else Ian Curtis was his name. He was from a band called Joy Division, sang a great song called Love With Teair us apart. https://sararevealed.blogspot.com/2019/12/awarness-of-epliespy-and-mental-health.html

More if not all about Epliespy.

Eliespy is a health condition, which is a sudden rush of electricity to the brain, which causes people who face Epliespy different types of seizures.  Epilepsy is a strange condition and no one knows why. Everyone faces it differently. If you have faced it all your life, on and off in your life, or most of your life, you will know it has a mind of its own but someone else who faces it most likely faces it the same as you.

Those who have faced it similar to myself if not the same I guess wouldn't be surprised to know the type of seizures you face can change but not necessarily in everyone's case. When they came back in my adult years from when I was 31 to 43. They became simple Patical seizures. Like I said in my last post on this website if not treated in most cases if not all cases of Epilepsy can be a life risk but there never has and really still isn't a great deal of treatment only medication, medicines, etc. However' I have heard in the last 10 to 15 years or so there is an operation but how successful or unsuccessful it is I have no idea.

  • alterations to a sense of taste, smell, sight, hearing, or touch
  • dizziness
  • tingling and twitching of limbs

From what my family told me about when I was a baby and young child, I either had them in the night and woke up with a wet bed or pretty much have what was back in then in the 70s as Petty Mal.

Seizures into two different types Generalized seizures which harm all the brain.  Focal and Partial that harm one part of the brain.

It is hard to notice in those who face mild seizures, which may only last a few seconds, which was known as Petty Mal years ago, absence seizures I think maybe the word for them these days, which is the sort I had pretty much most of my childhood. This is where you go black and unresponsive,  performing repetitive movements. Back then they called them petty mal. You lose consciousness and awareness of what is going on around you.

Generalized seizures are more major where people can lose consciousness and awareness. They include different types of seizures where I guess people can lose control of their muscles etc and even suddenly full.

Generalized seizures involve the whole brain. There are six types:

Absence seizures, which used to be called “petit mal seizures,” cause a blank stare. This type of seizure may also cause repetitive movements like lip smacking or blinking. There’s also usually a short loss of awareness, which is about the mildest form of Epilepsy.

Tonic seizures cause muscle stiffness.

Atonic seizures lead to loss of muscle control and can make you fall down suddenly.

Clonic seizures are characterized by repeated, jerky muscle movements of the face, neck, and arms.

Myoclonic seizures cause spontaneous quick twitching of the arms and legs.

Tonic-clonic seizures used to be called “grand mal seizures.” Symptoms include:

  • stiffening of the body
  • shaking
  • loss of bladder or bowel control
  • biting of the tongue
  • loss of consciousness

Following a seizure, you may not remember having one, or you might feel slightly ill for a few hours. https://www.healthline.com/health/living-with-epilepsy

Epliespy awareness

Tomorrow Epilepsy awareness day. I had seizures from birth to 12 years, started again when I was 31 till I was 43. Everyone who faces Epilespy faces it differently as there are different types of seizures and different types of medications that treat different types of seizures. When not treated it can be a life risk but still, vary even when treated.

In all honesty, have to say I think really and many could disagree causes really unknown but there are a number of possibilities in my views such as stroke, brain injury, brain tumor, lack of oxygen, a lot of drugs, alcohol, brain infection and maybe even stress and worrying a lot. Why? I am no professional just going by what I have faced myself, epilepsy, stress, panic, and anxiety when it comes to things playing on the mind longer than what they would to those who don't face Epilepsy, Anxiety, etc.

It tells you on this link what type of seizures there are and what to do if you face people having them. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/epilepsy/symptoms/

Hear your voice, our voice, my Voice, no one is alone

Again sorry I must raise concerns of disabilities, mental health, and other problems, mainly this Covid lockdown. No one is forced to talk or not to talk but all the same if you do, you just may help professionals understand you and others who may face similar. As I myself face disabilities, mental health, and other problems too, I hope to understand others who face the same and similar to me as much as possible.

I face Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Anxiety, Depression, and Epilepsy. Despite that, I have been doing involvement on and off for nearly 15 years in disability, mental health awareness, and Advocacy public and private. Naturally, during  Covid, there has been no involvement as such maybe a little online but that doesn't mean I stop raising awareness, listening to others, etc. In fact, covid disability, mental health, and other problems raise a huge awareness because how we may get supported for different things, etc are even more limited than before because a lot of services are shut, etc and people who may normally support us, etc have been and most could be lockdown too, therefore most support maybe less, etc.

Naturally mostly likely which is very understandable most people may not want to tell things to complete strangers but at the same time no one wants to think of anyone struggling alone either. Mental health etc is a huge concern anyway but even more of huge concerns people are struggling even more so during in lockdown. I know is easy for me to say but I do face mental health myself and I am aware of what struggles can be.  Everyone has their own rights and choices, I guess most of you are aware that there are counseling services online if need be.

I know it's been a while I haven't forgotten where I have been through stages in life myself where I have found it hard to talk about things but then done something about them in my own time. I know this not easy and the longer it goes on, it gets harder but not all of us get through these things whatever they may be. https://www.samaritans.org/about-samaritans/research-policy/understanding-our-callers-during-covid-19-pandemic/what-do-we-know-about-coronavirus-and-suicide-risk/

Number of learning disability deaths linking with Covid

I am responding to a report that I saw on Facebook this morning. The reason for this is because I am a learning disability and mental health awareness trainer who faces disabilities and other problems myself and for the sake of those the same if not similar to me and those involved in their lives.

I have been a learning disability and mental health awareness trainer for nearly 15 years now. When I started I started with what was then Royal Wolverhampton Mencap, which folded between 2011 to say 2014.

During that time on and off I have seen reports of people with disabilities etc dieing unnecessary not with what they were unwell with necessary but due to not enough health staff to make them well and probley many other reasons too.

My first report was at Mencap when I started there in 2007 to find 6 people with a learning disability, which guess was a lack of care and staff in the hospitals and many other reasons. I guess about a year after when I started working for University by me when I did a PowerPoint presentation to rasic awareness of the benefit cuts, when so many people disabilities died due to having their benefits cut, caused struggle money-wise, depression, not eating, lack of eating, suicide, etc.

Most shocking I know but lack of education and training for those who work in the learning disability and mental health field but it's not all black and white because we keep on learning, improving but we still have a long way to go. More chances need to give people with disabilities, mental health, and other problems to train and educate those without to learn how to support and care for these people but it's not in every case but most.

This report I saw this morning isn't much different from reports I haven't seen in the past, no shock or surprise but for my understanding, nothing seems to change. In the past. I have been able to contact those I work with on my phone and it hasn't been hard cause handy anyone was working from but now due to lockdown they are but doesn't stop me from making them aware online. If it's anything like the death indifference, which was aware of when I was at Mencap we were rasicing awareness by doing talks, drama plays, etc on our experiences to do with our health with the NHS. When I say me sorry, when I was with Mencap I was in a Self - Advocacy group called Our Shout.

Even more so this report I saw this morning raises huge concerns due to covid as well as patience having a learning disability. This report like all reports I have seen sorry to say comes down to links to discrimination within the health system, why doesn't that shock and surprise cause it's not the first time? Then it is causing this time it's Covid.

The report is saying in this case Equality and Human rights Commission and Care Quality Commission is refusing to act concerns, despite having signed an agreement to safeguard the rights of people who work in healthcare in England.

There are risks of disability deaths during the pandemic, which is said in the report it will be investigated, which a similar case in the death indifference when I was at Mencap but back then we weren't sure that cases were looked into deep enough.

According to disability news services news report, there could be a higher number risk of death from Covid in disabled people 30 and 69, which oddly the case more so in disabled men than disabled women and non-disabled people. Not that I would wish it on anyone but it needs to be looked into reasons why.

There is a lot more to this report than what I have responded on, which is this link. https://www.disabilitynewsservice.com/regulators-face-call-to-act-over-figures-linking-covid-deaths-with-health-system/?fbclid=IwAR3hq9hbjvFfdmDVaZYuVoBareMZYFKtUnwoCZ0jtVzj80GRy4XYxuFwvt8

Having disabilities, mental health or and all problems with and without Covid lockdown

 Struggle with the Covid lockdown.

It is hard whether there's a Covid lockdown or not, whether we have disabilities, mental health, or and other problems, whether you can support these people or not.

The purpose of this report is rasicing awareness of the struggles of having disabilities, mental health, and other problems mainly in this strange time of covid lockdown from my own experience.

Two things have encouraged me to write this report, which I probably would have written anyway, maybe I know in different words. Also, on this blog, I have been writing quite a bit poetry late, which I thought I would give poetry a bit of a break.

The first reason for writing this report is because I saw this link, which I am going to send on to people who I know who face disabilities, mental health, and other problems, and those who support, care, and work in the field one way or another. Since seeing this link and having the idea of writing my own, which is this I have had the words in my head what I want to write but writing in this blog could be another. I'm Dyslexic so sorry it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Disability Facebook group.

Please free to raise the comments on what you face as a person with disabilities, mental health or and other problems or if you are in the lives of people or a person with disabilities, mental health, or and other problems.  Just to say those of you who may be on Facebook has a group called. For DISABILITIES & ALL PROBLEMS AND AWARENESS every day for those with disabilities, mental health, and or other problems and for those who involved in their lives one way or another. Whether it's support, parent, carer, family, support worker, friend, partner, professional, etc more all. Student, training, trained, qualified, etc. You are more than welcome to join if you wish to. If you are already in the group feel free to invite those you may know who benefit to have disabilities, health health, or and other problems or and those in their lives. If possible add outside the fb or private message etc. If they wish to join they will need to answer 3 questions on the request for their safety and everyone's safety on the group, if they can't or won't give you the answers to the questions then you will need to invite them outside the fb or private message, if they are okay to give you the answers you can invite them by the fb. The questions are.

Have you got disabilities, mental health, other problems, if so what?

Are you a carer' parent, family, etc if so what to someone or people who face disabilities, mental health, or other problems?

Will you follow the safety rules?

The first reason is the struggle of the covid lockdown, which quite a bit of poems rasic awareness of that with disabilities, mental health, etc.

The second reason for writing this report is this link which is a huge concern https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.disabilitynewsservice.com%2Fregulators-face-call-to-act-over-figures-linking-covid-deaths-with-health-system%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3gUc_h_Te5mIM-0JWLt45-PHzMJZjGLuwFmaE-mojenfciKNh2Ofu83yU&h=AT0G5WdwqAZKVP0el8HfGbQWlZiGz8knjMdeHvoscwb2bYbhBtRxCFrPHs5ys83VDOH1xh63GFovUFQvi6ixseTqBn51i3ba0SL610Pd10trdkl2AVOp0_LiXZ4Yo57fIQ&__tn__=%2CmH-R&c[0]=AT09zdrTEsO88f1aUjee9ylLGiPz85cA-kuQKuWrxcTwQo8_bJQid-1mr0ZNEyMBKSTrtCliq4MANhp4K2uuBe8DQFircmz5ygozlwLZ6OxWBCHWy_4v25IC6sRAVaxa4XZxODEGNXt68AdE6_cXrQTSnMOQZynlJhGsQGcwllqT4ekcpMyT7mvOgZXbOcCk4z-u-xBUKUXvM3IK4Q I will be sending on this link and mine on to people I work with etc.

The report is also, to raise awareness of struggles not only for people with disabilities, mental health, and other problems but those in their lives and how much it's likely to be a struggle for them too mainly you are a parent, carer, and family member, etc too, which also were my Facebook group comes into too.

I myself am facing life possibly similar or and the same as many others with a small amount of family support I had before the lockdown, which is even smaller with the lockdown. I have dyspraxia, dyslexia, epilepsy, autism, anxiety, and depression so a friend of the family comes over to make my bed, cut my nails, trim my hair, and cleans once a month. I just do the best I can the rest of the time. My Mum lives in American and not able to get down to the Uk or me over there until the lockdown eases. Aunty lives an hour away from me, she takes me to appointments, etc and my 2nd cousin lives say 20 mins but she works quite a lot too, she helps out with things with IT and shopping even though my Mum shops online ever so often. I myself most days of the week shop in a local shop and every now than a bus ride to town.

Experiences of the covid vaccine.

Transport etc has been an issue because my doctors don't do the vaccines so my Aunt has had to take, which is like say 20 mins to half-hour drive. By where I am although buses are still running there have been no set timetables etc through the lockdown. I don't know what will happen with my 2nd vaccine but my Aunt took me for my first one. Last she was able to take me but if not I could get a taxi, maybe I may bus it back into town then back home.

How has been the after-effects of the vaccine for you? For me a sore arm old bit of cold, flu, and hayfever syndromes, I have been okay. I was lucky get not any serious problems but that doesn't mean no one will. However, it is rather confusing that there are different types of Covid vaccines at least in my opinion but everyone else's may be different. On the fb, I see since after I had my vaccine there being risks to the AZ vaccine, which blood clots but that's the type of vaccine I have had, and thankful I have not face them but sorry to those who have.

I am not saying the NHS is wrong on what we are to except of the vaccine but the vaccine is still very new yet and so is covid. Most people with disabilities etc, tend to face certain problems, which is unknown whether or not the vaccine is likely to affect but it's very concerning that lives are a risk without having the vaccine either, which makes me think there naturally there's a lot of work to be done to know what the vaccine may or not interfere with.

I think it's more important as well as everyone for health workers, carers, families, etc to have the  2 vaccines as well as people disabilities, mental health, and other problems, etc but the side - effects will need to be looked into too but all the same covid and vaccine is very new.

Masks, disabilities, mental health, and other problems. My thoughts are not sure what you think, similar to the vaccine the risk for people with disabilities, mental and other problems whether wearing masks or not due to anxiety,  breathing problems, etc, but then can vary possibly to how long for some people wearing their masks, etc.

We who we are and what we are.

 Just be yourself.

Just because you may write a lot doesn't mean you will be well known to the world but you may.

You do not have to work hard to please the world but you do, just keep writing.

Just be yourself, what does or and doesn't happen is natural.

If it's going to be it will be and if it's not it won't be.

Everyone deserves to be noticed and reward honestly by others while they are on the plant not off the plant but there is no perfect world.

Share your work but don't expect anything from anyone, someone or some people will do or and say something when you don't except it.

Just listen no judgment.

Let people be themselves whoever and whatever they are.

Someone may sleep too much or not at all.

Eat too much or not at all.

Exercise too much or not at all.

No matter what they are they, you are you and I am I.

No one can change anyone.

Them changing them.

You changing you.

Me changing me, only.

No matter what no one should be ashamed of themselves for themselves.

Respect and be nice to themselves, you, me, and one another.
