Different people face different negative problems at different times in their lives but there are many problems people face, that we are aware we are not alone such as the cost-of-living crisis, Covid 19, etc, which seem to be most common while it is going on.

There is a huge concern that the cost-of-living crisis may be affecting services that try to support people, which doesn’t make it easy for anyone but even more for those who face disabilities, mental illness, or any other problems, emotional problems affect everyone as a whole one way or another.

As I have said before, mental health services are limited for many reasons whether it’s cutbacks, Covid 19, etc. It is understood not everyone knows, trained qulifcated, etc in helping people want and need, to help someone in the best ways you can is important, maybe you know someone who has worked in the mental health field. Please try to find help if there’s someone in a situation you cannot with yourself, people’s health and safety are important.

Basic help for those you may know, a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Do they wish to talk to you, if not are they talking to someone?

Those who don’t know you, are they talking to those they do know, or are they talking to you?

Concerns may be that they are not opening up to everything, which is neither your fault nor theirs, not just the fact of not knowing someone, mental illness can make people sensitive, which is not always the case, depending on how mild, major, etc mental illness is.

Types of therapy.

My intentions are not to make everyone counselors, emotional supporters, etc but my concerns are through cutbacks, covid 19, etc support for mental health may be getting less and less for people. This is why written this, piece of writing to try to help people give people basic support for those who may ask for it. However,’ no one knows how long for that professional help is going to limit for so I may just have added a bit of extra information on how to support, which some may come from and others from research.

Basic therapy CBT. https://www.maketheconnection.net/resources/what-is-treatment/?gclid=CjwKCAjwmJeYBhAwEiwAXlg0AbpaAZERwo6CZyDiXcL7j27J5-Rr_dWCRqxFl8ZvsXc7isflW16ICBoCUYQQAvD_BwE

Basic coping skills CBT, it doesn’t always help or and it may not make the person feel 100 percent. Even if you are concerned someone maybe not opens up to everything don’t force it out of them. The purpose of CBT is a basic way of trying to help people, mainly those who face Anxiety and Depression. However,’ Anxiety and Depression can be a strange one for example, where it can affect peoples’ concentration and even motivation, to someone not at rest with themselves unless they are doing things, which can vary.

What CBT is,  is to try to empower or encourage people with mental illnesses, which can be mostly Anxiety and depression to think from negative to positive.

By finding out what would make them happy, what they enjoy, trying to talk positively as possible to them, about what like doing to for example may be reading to  what they like, say their favorite pop start.

It may be that maybe normally they enjoy writing poetry, but they just can’t even focus on that at the moment, where you could try to empower them to get back into it, but don’t force them. Maybe even suggest for them to show you the poetry they used to write if they do agree to do that, that could be a way of helping them to maybe slowly moving forward in a positive way, but it’s not the case with everyone, but doesn’t make you bad at your job because everything is down to their choice and how they feel, if or and when, etc.  Maybe asking how they were feeling when they were writing poetry, or whatever they may use to enjoy.

Anxiety and Depression can vary so just accept anything from everyone, for eg; no two people say are the same where some people may never focus, which is not them it is the mental illness so be patient, however, it is your right to keep track much they may helping themselves or may not, keep your manager updated, he or she should be trained to know, whether or not the person’s support needs updating or not, etc.

Some people may not feel at ease without positives.

Some people can go from not focusing to focusing.

It is probably possible for them to go from them to have positive around to negative, you can try to help them bring that positive back but remember it hasn’t failed if it doesn’t happen, mental illness can have a huge effect on people.

What is hard but putting yourself in their shoes is a good thing, it is not right to judge them one way or the other on what we don’t have proof on, which is very often the case but if you have any concerns otherwise raise them to your manager, when you report the person’s case your manager should be trained to know what should and shouldn’t happen next and even so for.

The worst thing you can do is try to encourage/empower them to do things they don’t like so try to empower/encourage what is positive to them. These may be, hobbies, interests, careers, their likes, etc. Positive talk is likely to help a positive mind. A lot of negative talks bring on mostly negative minds. When thinking and feeling negative already the person doesn’t need to feel any more negative.
