types of disabilities, difficulties, special needs, mental health and illness

Understanding mental health and illness.

Mental health is emotional, psychological, and social well–being. We all have mental health but how is that Mental health of ours? This is how we think, feel thoughts, how we behave, act, and even interact with life around us. Whether is good, bad, happy, sad, angry, laughing, crying, etc. These feelings can happen to at any time, no matter how life is or isn’t. It is not always know why we feel how and when we do. Sometimes there is no answer to why we feel as we do.

Causes of bad mental are negative situations such as money problems, relationship break–ups, the death of people we know, etc, which drive most of us to make bad choices, drugs, drinking, etc, which is not in everyone. This and many other things can make us feel a sense of guilt. There is no excuse for negative behavior, but we shouldn’t judge people, either we should look into why people behave as they do.

For example, people with disabilities and mental illness do not enjoy depending on others whereas in the past, even most times now we have been seen as a burden, we cost a lot of money, we are hard work, we shouldn’t be on earth because we are no use to society or ourselves, which I am glad to say that over the years that attitude toward a human being has got quite a bit less but we still have a long way too, we need to keep improving on this because every human being is born for a reason, bringing too much negativity is not good, it just makes the person feel that life is a waste for them, which too many negative causes bad mental health, which is not healthy for anyone.

However,’ when it comes to disability and mental illness, we cannot that aware from a person because that becomes a part of the person who is facing disabilities and mental illness but what we can do is support them with the difficulties they face caused by the disabilities and mental illness. Those us who not only face but live with them can raise awareness on how we need to be supported. Bearing in mind that our disabilities and mental illness don’t affect all parts of our lives but most.

Good mental health is down to us being happy, just as things going well with our careers, enjoying our hobbies, interests, etc. . https://www.verywellmind.com/what-to-expect-from-a-mental-health-ot-2509980

Your support could be to those who face mental health and mental illness could be helping those who are in the lives of people who face mental health and illness to understand them, this could be people who work in schools, colleges, universities, workplaces, people who may work or live at the person’s home. At the same time seeing that the person who is facing mental illness is getting support, therapy, etc but also it is down to the people who face mental illness’s choice whether they accept the help or not, when, etc.

Mental illness can cause us to behave in ways many of us don’t want to behave even though isn’t an excuse for any negative behavior. We need to learn the balance between knowing how mental illness could cause us to behave but at the same time the thoughts and feelings matter as well as the person who is facing mental illness.https://www.nhs.uk/mental-health/talking-therapies-medicine-treatments/talking-therapies-and-counselling/cognitive-behavioural-therapy-cbt/overview/#:~:text=Cognitive%20behavioural%20therapy%20(CBT)%20is,mental%20and%20physical%20
