What is the difference between a learning disability and a learning difficulty?”
Learning disabilities seem to get confused
with Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, and ADHD, which are learning difficulties. A learning
disability slows down a person to manage everyday tasks such as home skills,
personal care, shopping, education, work, social lives, money, etc, how we get on with people, to those who not
only may not know but they may not know we have a learning disability, difficulty,
or both.
A learning
disability can cause someone to take longer to learn than other people, in many
ways most people have because it is not impossible to learn and know things
necessary but have difficulties along the way. However,’ in most cases there
are limits to what we learn, do, etc.
With the right though,
different people different ways, also in most cases depending on the person and what we are trying to do, etc, with the right support, which is sadly not the case in
everything, we can have independent lives. What
