Women with disabilities, swear tests, sexual abuse and cervicial cancer.

Every woman who is aware of cervical cancer knows how dangerous it is to their health but there are also very scary reasons most of us women reuse swear tests. Sexual abuse is hard enough to deal with if you don't have a disability, it can put you off a loving sexual relationships as well as swear tests no one likes but it's good to get checked.Whether you have a disabilities or not if you have been through sexual abuse and even rape it's even harder. Harder still if you have a disability. Many woman that includes myself have experienced having a disability as well as sexual abuse and rape. The NHS must be aware of why woman would be scared of swear tests even though it's only for our health we need to get checked.
It's about time we raised awareness of cervical cancer, swear tests and sexual abuse not only happening to non -disabled woman but women with disabilities as well.
Although Jade Goody did not have disabilities, she would not have wanted other women to go through the same as her. I guess Jade would understand why a lot of us woman would be scared of swear tests mainly when you have a learning disability. If you have been sexual abused or raped in the past. We don't really know what Jade had been through in her life but here is a website that may give you support and advice. WWW.wolverhampton.gov.uk/adultprotection
