Just to let you know guys, posts linking to this year's learning disability course will be roughly from posts I have written from September this year. Again like in the last post I will bring on some brief information and some links.
How different types of mental health are treated I think is pretty similar but doesn't always work for some because are higher levels than others. However' yes it is down to the person to help themselves as well but even that depends on their mental health issues and the treatment etc and not forgetting certain side effects as well. Not everyone does but to how major mental can be more support, awareness, etc the better. You may or may not want to go to the Psychology road, which useful to know about mental health as well as a disability if possible. Mental health can be serious, if awareness is not raised, if there's no support and treatment. It's just people trying to see what is right for them. In most cases, if people are alone or and feeling it depending on the mental health issue or and how severe it is, in many cases, it can be a life risk. This is where people can at risk of something too much, not at all, or very little of something, whether it's medication, sleep, food, drugs etc. It can affect people's confidence self - esteem, motivations, get up and go, etc. Not in every one or all cases but it's possible for people to unaware of their own actions, in most cases of mental health. I can imagine it can be a very changeling career and your safety needs to be taken into consideration like in everything but it is very much needed. Saying that there are also concerns that a lot of people are struggling alone fearing to try to get help but we don't know that unless they say.
Those who may be struggling with mental health whether it's the lockdown or not, no one can force you to speak up but there is help out there to try. Just advise if something doesn't work, try something else don't feel alone, and don't give. I know this is easy for me to say and hard to believe services, etc may not know but services, etc are there for you if you need them even though most are online through this lockdown. We should also consider those who may be struggling who cannot get online for whatever reason. https://www.time-to-change.org.uk/mental-health-and-stigma/help-and-support
